We work alongside local communities in Minnesota, particularly those most affected by respiratory diseases, to build meaningful partnerships that connect science with public health. We share health information by participating in local health fairs, speaking on community radio, and collaborating with local organizations to make education on lung health accessible. 

We invite community members to take part in our research, including opportunities such as The Lung Cell Study. Through Community Health Active Talks, supported by CEARCH, we also create open spaces for dialogue, ensuring that our work is guided by the priorities and concerns of the communities we serve.

We strive to inspire and support individuals from these communities to pursue careers in science, strengthening the future of lung health research.
