Bronchoscopy Procedure

We are studying how the lungs defend against respiratory infections. To do this, we collect airway cells through a safe procedure called bronchoscopy in which a gentle wash removes cells from the lung. We then bring these cells to the laboratory, where we perform assays to identify the immune responses that protect against infection or increase susceptibility.
